There’s a new business in Wetaskiwin that can help individuals and businesses with alcohol and drug testing.

Last Tuesday, LTS Alcohol and Drug Testing owners Tammy and Landon Nahorney were joined by Wetaskiwin Mayor Tyler Gandam and Chamber secretary Wayne DiLallo in a ribbon cutting ceremony to welcome the new business.

“I’ve been doing this for two years now,” said Tammy Nahorney. “I knew there wasn’t a site in Wetaskiwin but I knew there was a need in the area.

Located at 4803 51 Ave., LTS Alcohol and Drug Testing provides quality alcohol and drug testing to companies, employees and families. They are in full compliance with the Department of Transportation, 49 CF Part 40 and Dep. “With the pandemic and opioid crisis as well as the legalization of marijuana, there is absolutely a need,” said Nahorney.

In addition to providing the testing services, Nahorney said she will also refer people to supports if they are in need of assistance.

“There’s no judgement here. I’m here to provide a service and if there’s an issue, I can refer people. We help people to become healthier and lead healthier lifestyles.”

Open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on call, Nahorney said they are currently only accepting clients by appointment due to COVID-19 protocols. To make an appointment, call 1-403-896-1814.
